The Icon is a combination of 2 light modalities, a laser and a pulsed light system. The first pass over the skin treats discoloration, brown spots, and facial vessels using Intense Pulsed Light ( IPL). The second pass uses Icon’s microbeam laser technology to deliver heat deep into the tissue to gently renew the skin, by generating collagen and elastin.
During the procedure, most people feel only mild discomfort as a topical numbing anesthetic is applied prior to the procedure. After the treatment, moderate redness and possible swelling can occur for 2-3 days.

You will see visible improvement in the skin’s appearance after the treatment. Brown spots will fade and go away in 1-3 weeks. Overall results progressively improve over 6 months as your skin responds to the treatment.
While pain tolerance between patients varies, we use a topical anesthetic that can minimize the discomfort. The sensation is similar to having a sunburn.
