5 Ways to Practice Wellness

It’s a new year! We don’t know about you, but we weren’t too sad to see 2020 go. In fact, we were pretty happy to say goodbye.

A new year means a new chance to reset and refocus. This year, we’re focused on wellness – being healthy both on the inside and out. While we want everyone to look as good as they feel, we know it’s not always easy. Things don’t go the way we planned, we get stressed, there’s a pandemic. To feel as good as we can to face these challenges head on, it’s important to practice wellness every day. That way, the muscle is strong even when we might not feel that way.

Here are five of our favorite ways to practice wellness. Which one is your favorite?

Find a fun & new way to move

Try something you’ve never done before. Orlando has some amazing outdoor spaces and fitness centers. Who knows – it might be your new favorite way to exercise!

Eat veggies regularly

We’re not saying eat a salad at each meal, but finding ways to incorporate more vegetables into your diet will make you feel great! We’ve got some great restaurants near our office in the Dr. Phillips area. Check out some of our staff’s favorite places to eat!

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

As you know, it gets hot in Orlando. Even more reason to drink plenty of water. Try to drink half your body weight in water each day. Yes, you’ll have to go to the bathroom a lot – but that’s the point! You’ll flush out toxins and leave your skin plump!

Plan a vacation to recharge

Living in Orlando often feels like a vacation with all the amazing attractions and beautiful weather. But sometimes it’s nice to getaway. Hopefully, this new year will afford us more opportunities for vacation. Plan a trip where you can rest and recharge. You deserve it!

Create your own mantra

When you find yourself in stressful situations or are on the receiving end of something hurtful, it’s helpful to focus on a personal mantra. Choose one that makes you feel calm and empowered. We know how amazing you are; you just need to remind yourself sometimes.
