Rosacea is a common skin condition that many of us experience. It appears as flushing, redness or visible blood vessels. You may also experience small, red bumps that appear similar to a pimple.
Though, anyone can experience rosacea, it’s most common in women over 30 with fair or light skin tone. While the actual cause is unknown, a combination of hereditary or environmental effects may be contributing factors.
Unfortunately, there is currently no cure to get rid of rosacea completely, but there are several things you can do to reduce its appearance. Avoiding factors that tend to trigger a flare-up will help, including avoiding temperature extremes, sun exposure, irritating cosmetics, and inflammatory foods. A stronger approach like facials, peels, and laser treatments can also help reduce the appearance of rosacea.
